Thomas, I would say that a wealthy CEO should pay more for public education, even if his/her children use private schools. The CEO may not directly benefit from public school but indirectly through their employees. The CEO will benefit more from having well-educated employees than a cubicle-monkey benefits from their co-worker from being well-educated.
