I agree, and understand your characterization of the issue with louisCK being a symptom of the progressive movement. It smacks of the same attitude as things like “safe spaces”, and “trigger warnings”.
I think maybe I need to expand, and clarify a bit. The same attitude expressed about LouisCK’s joke exists regarding “rape jokes”. Apparently like rape jokes, some people believe pedophile jokes are never funny. they always offend abuse survivors so they should never be made.
